Book Review: Portals of Realms: Eternal Earth by Ailed De la Torre

From page one, this book transported me to a world where gods created a paradise for mortals and those other mortals considered fantastical beings, only to have it challenged by rivalry, betrayal, and an angry god lurking in the background.

Central to the story is Elisa, an average girl who finds herself suddenly thrust into Carrick's Hollow where she finds bravery, friendships, and a destiny larger than herself. Along with the elemental guardians (who are struggling with not just their own issues but also fighting their doubts) she embarks on a journey that involves love and heartache, and finally feels like she belongs.

The world-building is breathtaking, inspired by Gaelic-Irish myths and filled with selkies, dragons, elves, and glowing portals. The combination of magic, emotion, and adventure, enables the story to feel so real and genuine.

This book is not just another fantasy story—it is a story of identity, sacrifice, and hope. It is a read for romantasy fans who are longing for lush worlds and multi-dimensional characters.
